Something can always come up - we understand that. If a flight is delayed, you are ill or whatever - please contact us as soon as possible. We will do everything to look after your dog longer. We only have limited capacities, especially during holiday periods, so please let us know as soon as you know about the delay. We can then clarify everything else together.

Non-pickup: Although we sincerely hope that this never happens, it can of course happen that a dog is not picked up and we receive no message as to what should happen to the poor animal. Here you will find our explanations for picking up the dog as well as in our terms and conditions.

Can I bring my dog's favorite blanket, basket, toy... for my dog?

Absolutely! Who doesn't need their favorite pillow to fall asleep? Anything that makes it easier for your dog to be away from you and feel a little homey during the separation period is welcome.

Fleas and ticks - what to do?

We strongly recommend treating your dog with a repellent against insects (fleas, lice, mites) and arachnids (ticks) 48 hours before dropping off at Dog Resort Moonbow.

When your dog is handed in, we will carry out a quick flea test. We comb your pet in 2-3 spots with a flea comb and use a damp cloth to check if your dog has fleas. A check of the usual places for ticks is also necessary and completely unproblematic while a few cuddling sessions are carried out.

If a multiple flea check is unfortunately positive, we have exactly two options.

The first is, you take your dog home with you, treat it thoroughly and bring it back to us a few days later to start your holiday/stay abroad. We assume the costs for cleaning and disinfecting the entrance area.

The second is that since you have booked a flight or something like that, it is impossible for you to take your dog back. However, we cannot let the dog into the dog house or onto the playground or with the other dogs. Your dog will be separated immediately and washed thoroughly with a flea shampoo. The entrance area will be cleaned and disinfected, as will all areas/places where your dog has been. He also receives a dog flea remedy in the form of a spot-on or a tablet - depending on the severity of the infestation and tolerance. When the fur is dry, the dog is brushed and the flea population is checked. If necessary, another wash with flea shampoo is necessary. The dog is checked daily for a (renewed) flea infestation and washed with flea shampoo at least weekly. The costs for the required time, the circumstances and the required funds are fully borne by the dog owner.

Further information on the health of the dog can be found under §5 Health of our General Terms and Conditions.
